Risk Analysis
Risk analysis quantifies the real-world experience of vehicles, vehicle components, and other industrial consumer products to measure product risk in the context of similar products and operating environments. For example, DRE performs risk analyses related to motor vehicle accident and occupant injury performance, comparing specific vehicles to peer vehicles, a class of vehicles, or all vehicles.
DRE's data warehouse includes many large-scale federal and state databases (see table below). DRE can also tailor analyses to proprietary databases, including warranty claims and other consumer related databases. Data and risk analysis services include: database development and cross-database linkages, reliability assessment, survey design and data collection, statistical modeling and analysis, and product safety evaluations.
