Design Evaluation
Evaluating component and system designs requires an understanding of the intended environment along with the applicable standards and requirements. Proposed modifications to a design must take into account effects that such changes have on the system as a whole. While changes may appear to be an improvement under certain circumstances, it could lead to unintended detriments in others.
Design evaluation can be conducted on existing designs or on proposed modifications to existing designs.
