Vehicle/Watercraft Inspection
Vehicle/watercraft inspections are an important part of understanding what occurred in an accident or crash event. These inspections provide photo-documentation of accident related deformation, as well as archive the physical state of the vehicle/watercraft at the time of the inspection. Measurements are performed to quantify accident related deformation. Depending on the complexity of the vehicle/watercraft damage, such measurements can be made using a variety of techniques ranging from using simple hand measurement tools to the state-of-the-art FARO Laser Scanner Photon 120. The resulting measurements can then be compared to similarly acquired exemplar vehicle/watercraft undamaged measurements to establish the extent of deformation.
